2. Your contract with us
2.1 When you place an order with us. Placing an order is you making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received your order.
2.2 Once we have reviewed your order we will e-mail you again to confirm that your order is in process. This confirms that a contract has been made between us.
2.3 In the event that the goods are no longer available, or there has been a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this. You will not receive an e-mail confirming acceptance of your order, and there will be no contract between us.
2.4 We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear on this website. However, we cannot guarantee that your monitor’s display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the actual goods.
2.5 Whilst we try to be as accurate as possible, all information provided is approximate and is provided in good faith.
2.6 This contract is covered by English law.
3. How to place an order
3.1 You can use our website to place an order by selecting the product you wish to buy and adding it to your cart. Items you do not require can be removed from your cart at any time.
3.2 General carriage charges are shown at the bottom of the home page and will be shown prior to you placing your order.
3.3 You will be required to pay for the goods in full at the time of ordering.
3.4 We use secure payment facilities for online purchases. You can pay for your order by Visa or Mastercard.
3.5 Promotional prices only apply during the period stated.
3.6 All prices quoted on our website are in UK pounds and include Value Added Tax at the current rate.
3.7 Once your order has been confirmed, changes may not be possible or may incur additional charges or delays.
3.8 Once your order is complete we will notify you of the dispatch date.
4. Delivery and shipping
4.1 Goods will normally be dispatched within 1-2 working days and any estimated dispatch date is an estimate, which can change without notice.
4.2 We will normally deliver goods within 2-3 working days of dispatch.
4.3 Your order may arrive in more than one delivery.
4.4 Where we deliver. We can deliver anywhere in mainland Great Britain and Republic of Ireland with our standard shipping charge. We can ship abroad at the cost as it is at the time of ordering, assuming you are happy to pay more to do so. This will of course take longer and dispatch times will be notified to you as soon as possible. Unfortunately we do not deliver to any islands or the Highlands/Islands of Scotland. However we are able to deliver to a mainland courier company on your behalf for onward shipping.
4.5 We will deliver the goods to the premises you specify on your order. You must be at home to accept delivery of your order otherwise the parcel will be handed over to and dealt with by your local postal service. This is normally relevant between 9:00am and 6:00pm Monday-Friday. We will not accept responsibility for loss or damage if you instruct the delivery company to leave the goods unattended.
4.6 Most of our products are relatively light items. However, please be aware with larger orders you may require assistance with offloading your order.
4.7 Disposal of packing materials is your responsibility.
4.8 After two failed delivery attempts (or if you are not at home for an agreed delivery) the goods may be returned to Actic Partners LLP. We reserve the right to charge you an additional re-delivery charge.
4.9 If you change the delivery address once the goods have been dispatched to you, we reserve the right to pass on any extra charges made by the carriers for redirecting your delivery.
4.10 Please check the goods on delivery. Any goods found to be missing or damaged should be notified to the delivery driver at the time of delivery and to us within a reasonable time.
4.11 If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly.
4.12 Deliveries are made to a ground floor entrance only. This is on the condition that there is reasonable access for the safe and prompt delivery of the goods. You should tell us about any special delivery requirements or conditions when you place your order.
4.13 Sometimes, for reasons outside our control, we may be prevented from delivering your goods as planned. These might include things such as accidents, breakdowns, fire, flood, storm, severe weather etc. We will try to put things right as soon as possible however we cannot be responsible where this causes a delay or failure in delivering your goods.
4.14 For our retail customers, free delivery is available on orders where the goods cost more than £30. This offer is not available to our wholesale customers who buy in larger quantities which requires special delivery.
5. Cancellation and returns
5.1 We aim to dispatch orders within 1-2 working days. If you want to cancel or change anything about an order and get a full refund you will need to do it before your order is dispatched.
5.2 You have a legal right to cancel a contract which starts from the date we confirm your order which is when the contract between us is formed. If the products have already been dispatched/delivered to you, we apologise but at this stage it is too late to cancel your contract.
5.3 You do not have to give any reason for cancellation. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.
Returns: Due to the nature of our products returns and exchanges are not accepted. Please feel free to contact us with any concerns or queries related to this.
6. Faulty goods / In the event of a damaged parcel. We are very sorry if the Actic products you looked forward to receiving have arrived damaged. We do our best to pack them safely, but even the most lovingly prepared parcel can get dropped or knocked around en route. If you report it within 24 hours of receiving it we will offer you an exchange where possible, or a full refund.
6.1 If an exchange is necessary this will be arranged without unreasonable delay and without charge.
6.2 Within this time scale we will replace defective goods free of charge, at our discretion.
6.6 If an item is no longer available we will offer an alternative. However our liability will be to replace the faulty goods only and we are unable to guarantee an exact match. In this instance you will have the option of a refund.
6.7 Where we replace faulty goods you are responsible for their disposal if they have not previously been returned to me.
7.1 The products sold on this website have been designed to comply with all relevant UK/EU legislation.
7.2 We have a legal duty to supply products that conform to the descriptions and specifications in the contract between you and us. As a consumer, you will always have legal rights in relation to products that are faulty or not as described which are not affected by your cancellation rights above.
8. Claims for missing or damaged items
8.1 All claims of this variety must be made within 24 hours of delivery.
